"Regrettably, Brilliance of the Seas is still waiting for the fog out at sea to dissipate and for local authorities to allow the ship to travel to the port."
The statement also read:
"As a gesture of goodwill, and to thank guests for their understanding, Royal Caribbean will provide each stateroom with an onboard credit. Additional details regarding the onboard credit will be provided to guests tomorrow.
"We understand that this was not the news our guests wanted to hear, and we share in their disappointment. There are many things we can control, but Mother Nature is not one of them."

Heavy fog in the Tampa Bay area is still delaying the arrival of Brilliance of the Seas. Fog appears worse than the previous day and the entire port is closed to marine traffic. According to a statement on Royal Caribbean's website, the cruise line is monitoring the weather conditions, and will be providing regular updates to passengers. Guests are still advised not to travel to the port until instructed to do so. The company states that a further update will be provided at 2pm local time.

Regrettably, Royal Caribbean have had to make the decision to cancel the 23rd Feb sailing, due to the thick fog. Royal Caribbean is refunding all guests and will provide each passenger with a future cruise certificate for 25% of the fare paid. Brilliance of the Seas was scheduled to depart on a 5-night voyage. After the fog has cleared, guests currently onboard, will disembark, with the next cruise still scheduled to depart on 28th February.
