Luxury cruise line, Seabourn, have revealed more details about their two new upcoming ships, which will accommodate 604 guests. Modeled upon the successful Odyssey-class of ships, these larger vessels will feature an additional deck as well as expanded pubic areas, and the return of the famed Seabourn Square.
Seabourn has confirmed the order of its second new cruise ship due to launch in 2018. The 40,350GT vessel will be a sister ship to the currently unnamed luxury cruise ship which will enter service in 2016. Seabourn's president, Rick Meadows commented on the new builds: These two new ships will offer the understated elegance we are known for, as well as new amenities, innovations and modern design features that embody the hallmarks of Seabourn. The public spaces on both new vessels will be designed by iconic interior designer, Adam Tihany, who is currently working on the new Koningsdam for Holland America Line. Tihany has previously designed areas on board Celebrity Cruises' Solstice class vessels, including the Oceanview Cafe and Tuscan Grille.
The new cruise ships will be based on the Odyssey-class, with one additional deck and expanded public areas. Popular features such as the Seabourn Square, a large area featuring guest services, the library, computer stations and a coffee shop, will be found on board the new vessels. Each ship will carry 604 passengers in luxurious all-suite, veranda staterooms. |
