The world's most luxurious cruise ship, Regent's Seven Seas Explorer, will make its North American debut on December 2nd 2016, offering an inaugural season of Caribbean sailings from Miami. Meanwhile Seven Seas Navigator will offer exotic African voyages.
Regent Seven Seas Cruises is adding two new exclusive venues to the world’s most luxurious cruise ship. The luxury line announced today that Seven Seas Explorer will feature the brand’s first culinary instruction centre called the Culinary Arts Kitchen, and will debut a new social venue named the Meridian Lounge.
Bookings for the most luxurious ship ever built have surpassed expectations by Regent Seven Seas. Cruises on board the 56,000 ton vessel opened to Seven Seas Society loyalty members on January 19th and already the company has reported record-breaking bookings for Seven Seas Explorer.
The first building block for Seven Seas Explorer was placed this morning during a special keel laying ceremony at the Fincantieri shipyard in Genoa, Italy. The keel laying signals a significant milestone in the construction for what will be the most luxurious ship ever built, and brings the vessel one step closer to its 20 July 2016 maiden voyage.

Regent Seven Seas has unveiled the first visuals of their new ship, due to launch in summer 2016. President of the company, Jason Montague, boldly described it as "the most luxurious ship ever created." Along with the reveal of the visual renderings, Regent Seven Seas has launched a new, micro website, which will feature the latest information on Seven Seas Explorer, including updates on construction, public space and suite designs, onboard amenities, itineraries and other elements as they are revealed. An added feature to the site is a never before seen two-minute video that sets the elegant tone for Seven Seas Explorer, while building anticipation for the newest addition to the fleet. Jason Montague, president and chief operating officer of Regent Seven Seas Cruises, said: We’re building the most luxurious ship ever created, and our loyal guests and travel agent partners are eagerly awaiting detailed information about Seven Seas Explorer. This dedicated microsite provides us with a platform to provide our passionate brand advocates with the latest updates and exciting developments surrounding this extraordinary new ship from now through launch. Seven Seas Explorer will carry 750-guests in all-suite, all-balcony staterooms. She will sail on cruises around the Mediterranean when she launches in summer 2016, however specific itineraries are still to be announced.
Seven Seas Society members, the line’s loyalty program, can register for priority reservation details for the ship’s inaugural season, which will open to members on 19th January 2015. Cruises will go on general sale on 11th February 2015. |
