Luxury cruise line, Crystal Cruises, has unveiled its full 2017 cruise itineraries, a full 2 years in advance. There will be 57 voyages to 268 ports in 84 countries, with more than 150 overnights – the most ever offered in a single year. Following a 2016 season that boasts a history-making transit of the fabled Northwest Passage, plus a 102-day World Cruise circling the Pacific Rim and more maiden calls than ever before, 2017 promises for an exhilarating year of firsts, anticipated returns, remote locales and other highlights on all seven continents. There will be 32 maiden calls to intriguing places like Maroantsetra, Madagascar; Iquique, Chile; and Djúpivogur, Iceland; along with lesser known gems such as Calvi, Corsica; Sète, France; and Santa Margherita, Italy. A 99-day Grand Pacific Explorer Grand Cruise, in January 2017, will be the start of Crystal's first ever voyage to New Guinea, as well as maiden calls into Vanuatu and New Caledonia. Crystal Symphony will offer a return to the Middle East and Holy Land and will be among one the very first luxury cruise ships to visit Doha, Qatar. According to German cruise website, Schiff Und Kreuzfahrten, the MS Deutschland has been sold to Crystal Cruises for 50 million euros. Payment is due to take place on Tuesday.
